INDIVIDUALS

A HAPPIER, HEALTHIER YOU

Therapies that aim to increase self-awareness to recognise strengths, define values, and build skills to enable a person to live a life that reflects who they are and what is most important to them.

Therapies are personalized to meet the needs of each person whether they come from a background of trauma, want to learn skills that will enhance the quality of their life, or just need help navigating through life's complexities.

YOUNG PEOPLE

"The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence." Denis Waitley

Young people often face a difficult transition to becoming independent young adults. Facing new responsibilities such as managing finances, finding employment, and juggling study with employment can be challenging. A need to belong often conflicts with a need to develop their identity to form a stable sense of self.

Therapy generally focuses on building healthy relationships, learning to manage priorities, regulating emotions particularly anxiety, building self-confidence and improving self-esteem.

RELATIONSHIPS

Family Fun

“To be fully seen by somebody and be loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous."  Elizabeth Gilbert

Relationship counselling can occur with an individual or two or more people. The focus is on understanding patterns of interactions that occur within relationships.

The work in therapy may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Learn skills to really listen so that you can understand the perspective of others without losing your own.

  • Learn to identify and communicate your needs.

  • Develop ways of interacting that are respectful of your own needs while taking into consideration the needs of others.

  • Build healthy, respectful, accepting relationships.
